“I bought two of the Crome cheese slicers. Firstly, you have to whittle away at where the wire connects to the handle in the wood groove. Seems like a poor engineering after thought. Secondly, the wire seems either too short or the handle is bent too much. Thirdly, the handle that holds the wire is cheap plastic. I will never buy these again. Not sure if other brands are better, but after thinking this was going to be a quick project Iâ€™ll never make another one. Iâ€™ll buy a preface one on Amazon”

“I purchased two, whom ever designed this and wrote the directions is in the wrong profession. Just a difficult object lesson. Find another option! There's a reason it's been marked down 40+%.”

“Very poor quality. The "set screw" is in fact just a small wood screw, 1/16" to 3/32" too long to allow it to be screwed all the way down. After filing it to make it work I did get it assembled well enough to be used as a gift. The next morning the wire has stretched to the point it wouldn't cut anything. Plan was to build 10 or so to give as holiday gifts. Will have to come up with another plan.”

“The handles are plastic, which I feel should have been made clear in the listing, now I wonâ€™t be able to charge as much since the first thing people touch feels cheap.”

“Makes very nice small cheese board. The wires are the correct length to work correctly. Just need to try different approach if having problems getting them to reach.”
