“I bought the Element thinking that it would be better and faster than my old S30, but, it takes a LOT longer in it's "thinking" mode. Also, it seems to read high. Three hours after having finished 2 beers it still registered .04.”
“My unit had stopped working, the great customer service rep said it needed calibrated so he made it free since it had so few uses and I didn't have it very long. I mailed it in and apparently it needed more than just a calibration as they sent me a brand new unit saying my old one wouldn't calibrate. Great company! 5 stars”
“I purchased my S75 Pro back in June 2012. In 2 years, I have used it about 25 times with great success and precise readings. (In the process, learned a lot about myself and what I thought my BAC would be after a few drinks versus what it actually was). After turning it back on after 5 months of non-usage, it was only reporting back 0.00 readings. I figured sending it out for a calibration would hopefully help it get back to normal, after all, it had been 2 years. The process was super efficient, and I was really impressed when I opened my returned package to see a report that because my S75 was unable to be recalibrated by their office, BACtrack had sent me a new one to replace it! That is just amazing these days to know that a company has high values and stands behind the quality and reliability of their product! (I am more than understandable that mishaps do occur with equipment, it is electronics after all). “The S80 started acting erratic after 280 uses. I sent it in for a calibration and they sent me a new device with the statement that the old one couldn't be calibrated. I'm not sure if this was a warranty replacement or a general policy. I'm happy to have a working device. I feel the shipping speed was reasonable. And the calibration fee is reasonable as well. As for performance, the device appears to be very accurate and can stand up to repeated use throughout the hour. I never had to replace the batteries. The case is nice. The new one feels easier to breathe through.”
“I sent my Element in for a recalibration after 101 readings. They sent back a new Element in its place (could not recalibrate the one I sent in). Very fast turn around as well.”
