Storytelling with Alan Moore Reviews

What was your primary motivation for purchasing this course? Celebrity-interest
It's having Alan Moore talk to you about writing and whatever else he wants for a few hours. What is there not to like? But seriously, having read some interviews and some of his comic scripts is one thing--but hearing the man himself break down how he works is freaking fascinating.

This course is fantastic! Moore is brilliant, funny and inspiring, and he uses his superlative storytelling talents to make each lecture fascinating. As a wannabe writer, I have read a number of books and watched "Great Courses" lectures on the subject, and this is far superior to anything I've encountered. By the time I got to his lectures about place (Lessons 19 and 20), I found myself thinking, "Y'know, I might just be able to do this!" (apply his lessons to my writing). I am re-reading his book "Jerusalem" (at the 67% mark as of today) while listening to this course, and it lets me see examples of the principles and techniques he talks about in the lectures. He's definitely more Baudelaire than Hemingway. If you offer a second Alan Moore course I would gladly sign up for it. Thank you for offering this inspiring and entertaining set of lectures.
