“I'm currently working on a graphic novel script and I'm always looking to refill my inspiration tank. I was hoping this was going to be more of 'hands on' with Moore sharing how he wrote, storyboarded and published his great works. It' not but that's okay.
What it is, is a fascinating, poinant, funny and illuminating discourse on writting and art. It's great course if you want to get creatively jump started. Some of the things he says have great resonance and it's all presented with wit and humor. The couse is full of incredible stories. Mister Moore demonstrates his spokien word storytelling mastery, throughout I highly recommend this course.
COURSE SUGGESTION! Have Mister Moore back with the artists, letterers SFX artists, etc and show how he realized, 'V for Vendetta' and 'Watchmen' (as an example). Suggested title: 'Allen Moore's, 'How to Create a Graphic Novel'. It could have something on marketing the and selling the book, as well. Anyway, just a thought.”

“Whereas Isabelle Allende will teach you how to write a book from getting started to publishing, Alan is like a magician who conjures up visions with his mastery of the English language. He speaks more about the history of writing and the evolution of writing, to an esoteric level but can then drop to details associated with specific words, including where they come from. He uses examples from an amazing breadth of authors and wants to bring magic to your writing. How to it's not, expanding your mind is what Alan's about. How do you make everything exciting? Just listening to him talk is interesting.”

“I feel as though I wasn’t very well prepared not taking notes going into the thing, but tbh Alan is such an easy going and affable person that his voice carries through everything he can impart. Lol jokes he's very grumpy, but that just seems like what happens when you've been a writer for 40 years. ...in closing, I've completely changed the way I approach the very idea of stories and should probably get to the writing of them.
