“I'm a big fan of Billy, and whilst the course was entertaining, it didn't really give proper guiadance to comedy and to becomeing a comedian.
Appreciate it would be hard to keep him on course with some of the more practical lessons.”

“An excellent insight into how this particular stand-up honed his craft. His comedy style appears to be less reheased and orchestrated than many comics today. I appreciate both types of comedy, but this one does appear a little more magical to me. I wasn't hoping to become a comedian off the back of watching this, so there's less room for disapointment, no doubt. I will say that it spoke to me about how comedic style is general is curated and the fact that people outside of the comedy world can also be absolutely hilarious. The comedy of daily life should not be dismissed, and Billy confirmed this for me.”

“The man is a legend. It was really nice to listen to him and hear his stories firsthand. However, I was expecting him to share more information. It felt more like a program where he just talked about his memories.”

“It's a privilege to spend an extended amount of time looking into the mind of a comedy legend. Billy Connolly rambles through a mine of valuable advice and experience and shares gem after gem of advice for those that follow him. His analysis of being a standup goes into all aspects including the effect on the audience and even the effect on the comedian himself. There is a treasure trove here. My only disappointment - for a comedian who spent many of his ealy days writing comedy songs, is that nothing is included on that aspect of his work. Perhaps - if Billy can do it - it can be added later. That's the only reason the course has dropped a star from me.”

“This was a delight as well as an education, though I do not intend to be a comedian. Billy makes his craft appear effortless but it is revealing at his understanding why this is so. His advice is generous and humble. The course notes are also useful.”
