“The course is suitable for me even as a non-native English speaker. Although my English is not perfect, I was able to follow the explanations well, thanks also to the subtitles. Ms. Duffy speaks slowly and thoughtfully, allowing her ideas to sink in before she moves on. She gives many examples, exclusively from English-language literature. However, the content is universally valid and transferable to all languages.
The course is beautifully filmed. You feel as if you are in a literary salon, comfortably listening to Ms. Duffy’s explanations while enjoying a glass of whisky. The division into short chapters is sensible and practical, and the materials provided are also very nicely designed and useful. The entire process was easy and worked perfectly, allowing me to get started right away. I watched most of it on my phone, though I’m sure it looks even better on a computer.
In short: The course is highly valuable, inspiring and motivating, and it was absolutely worth it for me. I am happy to recommend it.”
“it tought me nothing about how to write poetry but everything about the joy, diversity, creativity . This course has brought out the imagination in me, and even more amazingly, encouraged me to see the world around me, the exlore my fast and imagine the future. I list to these lessons over and over I still don't understand rhyme and metre, and various other 'rules' for writing poems; But I know I am a better writer of poems than I could have emagined. I'm amazing at how often I can take a 'common' phrase and with a slight adjustment to placement, make the poem more exciting. I strongly encourage others to take and emerce yourself into learning from this course.”
