“Carol Ann Duffy is a treasure to listen to and her love of poetry comes through and is inspirational. I do enjoy listening to these but honestly am slightly dissapointed. If this had been sold as 'inspirational chat from Carol Ann Duffy' then yes, I'd recommend and give it 5 stars, but as a poetry course so far (I'm about half way through) it fails. I'm hearing all her ideas on where to draw inspiration from, but I've still no idea how to turn my inspired scribblings into poems. I realise CAD tends toward free verse, but even here, I hope I will get to find out how to craft a poem out of my scribblings before I get to the end of the course. That said, she's a fantastic poet and I do love listening to her and the poems she reads out.”
