“I’ll admit I’m a male writer, so I’m probably less immersed in the love elements of a story, but there are plenty of good nuggets here. I especially appreciated the section about writing about sex (whether to let the reader in or at the bedroom door, etc). Some thoughts about that intimacy or discretion were helpful.
I also enjoyed hearing about some premises of her stories that involved love, but had an intriguing storyline (the WWII ship taking brush brides to Australia to rendezvous with their soldiers). It sounds like a wonderful period story.”

“It was interesting to hear Jojo's methods and certainly some of it can apply to other genres too. However, parts were very repetitive and some of it just felt like filler.”

“Helpful. Lots of information, tips and inside insights about things I hadn't even thought about. Very useful. Jojo has a nice voice as well, and she has a gift: clearly explaining things in a calm and encouraging way. She's a great teacher.”
