“I highly recommend this course. Jojo Moyes has given a wealth of advice on how to write a love story, examining the meaning of love itself, why we write about love, how to create a story that has love at its heart, how to create a romantic tale, what the key elements could, even should be. Also she sets out ways to trick your own doubts and fears as a writer into retreat! She gives helpful advice on themes, structure, how to allow the story to guide you as to its length and narrative.
As I expected, this particular course is helpful for everyone setting out on the bumpy road of their first novel! - not just those writing a love story.
Jojo is generous with her time, thoughts and detailed exploration of the themes she has designed. She wants to help and encourage new writers and shares the benefit of what she has learned about the research and writing process - by teaching herself. She gives technical advice on how to explore themes, create your own characters and structure a novel. Her joy in writing a good love story and thoughts on why we write and read about love are infectious. This is a genuine helping hand and I am so glad I bought the course, with such in-depth content. You may be writing about love but you have to approach it seriously and make your story unique.
