“while listed as intro it also said it would be of interest to skilled working designers as well - it was not. i have done the david carson master class and that was amazing when done with that i was energized and felt creatively challenged. this was a total disappointment, left with no inspiration. the way in which the videos were done and info presented was also not great.”

“I really enjoyed watching the videos. I got some great book recommendations and found the interviews interesting. I am not a graphic designer myself but have a fascination in font and poster design, so enjoyed the deeper exploration. The format of the course was easy to access on both my phone and laptop. I will enjoy viewing other courses and seeing how they compare.”

“As per another reviewer I found this to be disappointing from the view of someone expecting a course to teach you something about graphic design. I have a few books on typography and they also show art influenced by it, some of which I spotted in the books shown. I wasn't expecting this to be a showcase of someone's own art career or how they were influenced, perhaps the title is too broad.
I imagined a website offering courses would offer me tutoring in some way to build on my own skills.
If you are just starting out, then maybe this is who it's aimed at, an overview of where and how to look for design ideas and influences but I didn't gain anything. As pointed out, you could learn more on youtube.
I was particularly displeased as this was a Xmas gift and my wife hoped this would be more than just a basic introduction.
I also dislike with a passion the use of pointless camera angle switching, having the narrator looking away from the camera in one scene and then back again does nothing for the viewer, very distracting. One aspect of my work is in video editing and this just peaked my annoyance of the course. If I never hear that mind numbing jingle again I will be eternally grateful also.
This was my first visit to Maestro and if this is indicative of the courses here then I think it may be my last.
