“Harlan's course is overflowing with such quality information. I am 55 and about to be forced into retirement due to an injury. This course has been such an inspiration to get me started on my writing journey. I'm just about to start going through each video for a second time to do the tasks.”

“I trust Harlan Coben because he is so accomplished.
His observation that there are rich story ideas all around us, in our own life, has encouraged me to be super curious about my own life and the what ifs”

“I first went through Isabel Allende's BBC Maestro writing course (which is excellent if, like me, you are just starting out). I was drawn to Harlen Coben's course because I had watched - but not read - a few of his stories. I'm almost finished the HC course. He is very good at explaining how to structure your thriller story, clearly loves lots of plot twists and creating early the suspense needed for a good thriller. Above all, he has encouraged me to be ambitious. Before doing this course, I had started out with an ambition to be a short story writer (eight short stories in one book, half done). But I have since discovered that writing short stories needs the same structure, plot lines and surprise / suspense needed in a full length novel. And that, necessarily, a short story of 8,000 words limits your ability in several ways (characters, mode and emotions) to tell a full story. The novel gives you that room to develop the full story. Great learning!”
