“For me it's too surface-level, I've attended much better interior design courses. Beata's course in my opinion throws lots of small tips at you, not a cohesive strategy or in-depth plan or blueprint on interior design. Also, it would have been great to include content on various interior design styles and their characteristics - showing her works and her rooms is a great thing, but not everyone can identify with her style. It would have been great to see some other types of examples.”

“Beautifully made course, with a lot of great details and inspiration. I especially enjoyed the course notes. Beauta Human’s calm and elegant way of presenting information is envolving and capturing. I am still on Lesson 5, even though the lessons are short,I want to savour every minute of beautiful designs and famous architects’ she is talking about. Now, do not expect to become an interior designer upon finishing this course,but you’ll definitely see the direction,her style of work,and what you need to pay attention to. Im in the middle of decorating a new house we just bought, sonthisw course is perfect for me.”

“I subscribed to BBC Maestro last month specifically for this course.
I've watched a couple of courses already but didn't enjoy them as much as I'm enjoying this one.
I absolutely love her approach to interior design. And even though I have read her book and listened to a few podcasts about her design career (so I was already familiar with some of her stories and perspectives), I have still discovered many new ones. She clearly prepared the content in a very clear and engaging way, making it easy to watch.

“Beata’s work and eye are those of an artist. Her compositions are masterful in their color and restraint and embrace of human idiosyncrasies. The concepts are relatively simple but it’s hard to find another designer who is so masterful in composition and measured in excess and restraint. The course is a great way to look inside the studio’s mind when it comes to how things are put together. It’s refreshingly cheerful and good natured, and is about what sparks life in you when it comes to interiors. The best parts of the course are found the balance between firm opinions on certain specifics (some of which surprised me and are often humorous) and generous permission to follow your spirit. Rather than an intensive color theory 101 or architecture handbook, it’s a 101 on inspiration and training your eye. It served as a conversation-starting, level-setting resource for talking with a partner about approaches to design and sourcing. The lesson on delving into history and seeking inspiration in materials linked to your home was meaningful and inspiration-altering for our space. Thanks from Vermont, USA.”

“I'm only partway through, so my comments might be a bit premature. Beata Heuman certainly has a distinctive style in interior design—a unique and eclectic blend. While her bold use of multiple colours isn't quite to my taste, as I prefer a simpler palette, her core philosophy resonates: a home should feel like a home, not a showroom or a museum. Ultimately, that's what matters most. As with many beautiful interiors, the foundation of stunning structures and quality materials plays a key role. I also find it interesting how often she references Nicky Haslam. Perhaps Mr. Haslam could have his own maestro course someday.”
