“An honour to be able to see and hear Agatha (thank you, Vivien) in this format. Incredible achievement by the team, obviously. But it’s the introduction that was so moving and reassuring. I’d recently began reading the Mary Westmacott novels, as it happens, and I’m so enjoying listening to Agatha refer to them during this course! Fabulous tips and tricks from an icon. I shall view this course again and again”

“Phenomenal! I am utterly speechless. To be able to witness Agatha Christie, in her own words, is something unparalleled and wholly unique. As a staunch opposer of most use of AI in the creative writing industry, I had a small reservation. But that was quelled by seeing the intricacy, dedication and authenticity that went into this course. Beautifully crafted, all in Agatha’s own words and voice, it was something any Christie fan or aspiring writer in general should see. Watching this, hearing this, you’ll understand why she truly is ‘the master’! Groundbreaking and made with love and care. Loved every moment.”

“Fun idea and generally well-scripted. But this is not the course to go for if you want real help with your writing. More an homage to the mistress of the genre. Interesting thoughts on the length of crime fiction. She is twice made to say that she favours 50,000 words, but the second time, she acknowledges that most publishers want something longer! As to plotting, clues, etc., Christie favoured 'closed' locations, like trains or ships or villages, a limited range of suspects, multiple murders, and a detective who reveals/explains all at the end. This is now just one small sub-genre within the wider field of crime fiction and even 'cosy' crime now strays well outside these boundaries.”

“Unfortunately, it was the same as all of the other writing courses. You need to examine book authorship from a different level. How to stylize a sentence. How to make dialogue sing. How to come up with twists. Do this all with examples of what great authors have done by citing from their work. Show writers what great writing is. Do a course on the Great Gatsby.
Your writing classes are too general and all say the same thing. I love (know) Lee Child but he said the same thing as Harlen Coben (weve met and I've interview him). I loved Agatha Christie. Your entire production, the actress, were great. The content, not so much.
How about a course from Hemingway or Fitzgerald and talk about their rewriting? In fact, a course on rewriting showing what great writers did would be great, because that's what writing is all about.”
