“The packaging is great - branding / experience 10/10 - received a very nice tutorial guide on how to install them. Same for your marketing and brand image - it's great! The problem I experienced is a significant crack in one of the shelves which is very clearly noticeable, in particular because of the colour style of wood chosen (quite bright and white-ish). When reporting this to the Instagram team for support, the feedback was that this isn't a defect, however if needed I can return them. It's good to be offered the return option, but admittedly I personally feel these are firstly premium shelves from a great company, and I'd expect to have a replacement immediately offered based on the size of the crack. Also I'd love personally to order more products from ben simpson because the style is great, including some of the table furniture, but I'd only do this if I could rely on not receiving a product with a huge crack. And when questioning this, I was ignored and didn't receive a reply on this. This all has left me with a disappointing result - I've installed the shelves and positioned the crack upwards to try to minimise the view in it, but just in general, I'd love to have been able to order more products, but based on the support interaction, I feel it's too much of a risk. P.S - the guide for installation is great, but can I recommend for the floating shelves to remind people to be very accurate with the positioning, and also to ensure they drill perfectly direct 90 degrees to the wall, as if it's on an angle you can't place the shelf into the support. Seems obvious but perhaps worth emphasising, as it's a risk that other types of shelf support aren't exposed to. Thanks”
