“We bought 4 rustic shelves back in 2019 and were delighted with them. We have now moved and wanted the same for our new kitchen. The shelves arrived perfectly packaged, as previously, and they looked great. The problems began when using one bracket as a template for the two holes in each bracket. I marked and drilled the 8 holes for 4 brackets and 2 shelves, then moved over to the other side of the room to drill the 8 holes for the other 2 shelves and 4 brackets. All went perfectly despite having to use quite expensive and tricky-to-use wall plugs on our insulated plasterboard walls, to guarantee a strong fixing, because of the weight. Now, to screw the brackets on, that's when the big issues started. All or most of the brackets had their predrilled holes in different positions, meaning virtually every hole I had drilled was in the wrong place vertically. To say I was peed off is an understatement; out of 16 holes, only 3 were usable. school boy error on my part, you might think, but not IMO, the brackets should all be the same and have the holes drilled in the same place, IMO, you simply don't sell brackets fixing with holes all in different places. This took many hours to correct the issue, moving all the shelves up 30mm, I had to go up that amount because of the fixings that had already been put in place will have weakened the thermal plasterboard, I couldn't move them sideways or more than 30mm upwards because I would have had numerous holes in the wall to repair and make good, "not ideal in a new kitchen", this fix just about covered the now useless holes. i didn't write and complain, as the damage was done, and I had managed to get it done in the end, I was invited to review these shelves, hence me stating the problems I had. Overall, very poor quality control on the brackets, which are a very important element of these shelves. These products are not cheap, and very similar ones can be bought much cheaper elsewhere, but as I had had excellent quality previously, I had expected the same this time. My previous shelves didn't have this issue and went on the wall very easily. Very disappointed.”
