“This review is a for all the shelves that we recently ordered. Firstly, we are really pleased with all shelves. Four are fixed in our attic room, and three are waiting further decorating. Our only disappointment was that as the shelves were being assembled onto plaster board walls, the raw plugs that came with the shelves were not adequate to support the shelves/metal brackets. We had to go out and buy specialised raw plugs to securely fix the shelves into position. Maybe this is a question to ask when an order is placed. Outside of this, they look great. “We’ve actually bought five of these now, because they are so lovely. We bought two of the the 50mm deep shelves for heavy jars, which look amazing and are so solid, then three of the the 25mm ones for smaller jars. The fixings don’t work at all for internal plastered walls of course and I didn’t trust them for the thick shelves. For the deep shelves I actually drilled out the holes so I was confident about the (thicker and longer) screws I used. For the 25mm shelves I was fixing to internal plasterboard and the metal ‘screw in’ ones you can get from B&Q et al worked a treat. In sum, fixings not ideal, but shelves are quite superb.”
