“My Fly12 Sport is the second Fly12 I have owned. The first one I bought several years ago and its rubber seal over the power button finally failed and could not be replaced. I was faced with a choice between the Fly12 Sport and the new(ish) Garmin Varia Vue. The Garmin device is bigger, way more expensive, and had loads of 'me too' features that I would never use. I should say that all my other sport electronics are Garmin and I think they are great at what they do. The Fly12 turned up within a few days (I live in UK) and I was pleased with its smaller size compared to the earlier model. The most obvious new feature was the LCD display on the rear casing. This is useful in setting up and for monitoring battery level. This soon confirmed that the battery life is considerably longer in use than with the previous model. Another plus is that it no longer wanted to randomly Bluetooth link with the various sports watches, etc. that we have lying around. I was never able to stop this with the old unit, despite much advice from Cycliq! Functionally, the new Fly12 seems similar to the old one and is well thought out. I haven't checked, but the camera field of view might be a bit wider, horizontally and vertically. This means it sees a bit more sky, perhaps, and this possibly is causing a slight under exposure in the foreground but the video is certainly acceptable for viewing. Overall, I am very pleased with my new Fly12. I should also add that Cycliq customer support is excellent. I live in the UK so responses from Australia will always have a built-in delay, but I have never had to wait more than a day for a reply to any question, though this has not been needed for the new unit. It has worked perfectly from day 1.”

my suggestions for improvements would be the ability to carry and change an additional battery would greatly enhance it for all day in the saddle rides and a battery level indicator visible while riding”
“So far it has been very good. The video image is clear and the electronic stabilization keeps it pretty smooth even on bumpy roads.
I miss the light network integration with my Garmin head unit but the previous device crashed often. If I loose that in favor of a unit that doesn't crash then I am fine with it.”
“Love the Fly12Sport but this one is actually a replacement for my first one which quit working properly and you folks were unable to figure out what was wrong. It would turn off every time after a fairly short period. You suggested all kinds of fixes, none of which worked. It was out of warranty and you were not going to replace it, so I was forced to buy a new one.”
