“The Goods:
- Easy connect to phone to adjust settings.
- Great Video Quality
- Can mount camera mount side up or down, can be configured to operate either way
- Easy to attach or unattach
The Neutrals:
- So far battery life seems ok, but thus far, untested as it is only spring and I just got the camera a few weeks ago.
The Bads:
- Can not access video footage via phone. Not useful to show police on scene.
- The plastic mount is built into camera case. When it wears down the whole camera will be useless. Already thinking on how to design a holder on a 3D printer. Wish it used just the standard GoPro style mounts instead of this proprietary style.
- Rechargeable battery not user replaceable when it reaches its ends of life cycle. Whole camera will need to be replaced.”

“Excellent battery life. For example, just got back from a 2 hour ride and it’s still showing full charge. I did a long ride at 7 hours set on camera only and still had about 25% left. Video quality is good and the light is great during the day. I find myself wanting a little more light at night but it’s sufficient. I ride some rough roads and found the incident warning going off randomly which locks the video, so would be nice to be able to set the sensitivity. But overall a great unit and one I’d highly recommend.”
“The only comment is that it should have the largest SD card included in the future, so that the looped video is not overwritten on ride greater than 3 hours if the reason for buying this is to recorded a 5hour + race.... Unfortunately I lost the first hour of a race I wanted to record and was disapointed by that. I now have 256GB SD card installed and now I will test on my next long ride (6 Hours of Manfield), but generally I can get 2 club races recorded and plenty of warm up and warm down footage, which is more relaxed and often has great scenes. Thank you you for a great product. If yuou need NZ ambasidor or would like some masters / grade B cycle races / local or national group ride footage, let me know or have a look at youtube.... I have not used my gopro and lights since getting these new cameras.”
“I have used the Fly12 Sport from my original purchase. The replacement was result of a case issue that could not be resolved. Video quality is excellent, battery life covers most of my rides. My singular issue is the low speaker volume usesd to indicate on/off. The previous model Fly12 has a much louder sound volume.”
