Works fine for a Fly12 and a Garmin computer. The swivel adaptor for the Cycliq is nowhere near as easy to attach as the Garmin. The genuine Garmin Outfront adaptor is a far superior quality, thicker and studier. This should be fine, though. Much like all the other accessories, very expensive for what it is.

I like that the new Fly12 Sport is smaller than the original but still I have issues with it recording once turn it on (even with a full battery and card properly inserted). Seems to either not record at all or starts to record after being on for 15-30 minutes.

Disappointed with the battery life. 3 1/2 hours is not that great. Haven't had a chance to view any footage yet. It would be good to be able to view footage on my phone. There were no instructions supplied with the unit. The supplied mounting strap broke when I pulled it tight to stop the light spinning on the seat post. I used the strap from my older Fly6.

I like the FLY6 and the FLY12 (which I also own), and am glad to have them, but they are not without their problems. For context, I'd tried for a long time to assemble my own camera rig from old iPhones and custom mounts and software, but it was way more work than I was willing to put up with. Buying a camera engineered to just work in my situation was really appealing. On the positive side, the cameras are great. They mount easily and in a solid fashion. The iPhone and MacOS apps are really great; it's easy to download and extract data after a ride. The lights are also good, and I ride with lights much more often now because I like having the camera on. This really is a safety feature, riding with lights, so having some incentive to do it is good. On the negative side, I hate the power button. You have to hold it a long time to get it to work, at least a second. This sounds like nothing, but it really gets annoying, particularly because the feedback for when on/off is engaged has some delay. There are times I will hold it for what feels like forever, let go out of boredom, only to find that on/off hasn't toggled. For a company that has been doing this for ten years, I wish there was a physical toggle switch instead of a button for on/off, or at least, a raised button whose toggle you could feel. The battery life is not great: maybe two hours, even flashing on low. It's much lower than the front light. What I really wish is that they sold a FLY6 and FLY12 with no internal battery. Instead, you'd have a central battery that mounted on your bike frame and that both plugged into. You could then use it as long as you wanted and even hot-swap the central battery. This could also drive lights. I can't believe this kind of thing doesn't exist.

On my fifth and sixth Velcro strap/mounts. First two wouldn’t keep camera in position—after every ride, camera was sideways. By the third and fourth, I was leery of the quality. Third one I tried to apply more tension to keep it in place, the metal buckle broke. Fourth one delaminated like crazy and became useless. I have since purchased solid mounts from

Standard metric bars ( 26mm) and standard imperial bars (25.4mm) are not catered for. I ordered an extra mount as I have two bikes and the supplied mount was not suitable for either bar. I had to make something myself before I could mount the camera. Who uses 22.2mm bars ? The SRAM/Garmin mount gets it right by supplying a 25mm rubber adapter. Surely you could do the same.
