“The Fly6 Pro is a signicant improvement on the Fly3 - a far more acceptable battery life and a really good picture.
It's a pity that a trade in on the Fly3 isn't offered as the battery life on the Fly3 was always a problem.
The clasp on the USB flap is inadequate - the flap springs open repeatedly, especially going over bumps.
The clasp on the Fly12 is great and it's a disappointment that it was not used on the Fly6.
I'm having to use a strip of gaffer tape to secure the flap.
Nevertheless the Fly6Pro is otherwise a good product, albeit at a premium price.”
“Since the Fly12 is really the only decent light+camera out there, it leads the pack. The battery life is good. I used it during my IM 70.3 WC race. It still needs better video vibration dampening. The New Zealand Chip seal is extrememy rough. Since the device is still new, I have not had to deal with the corporate weenies which have never been very good in the first place. When your orignal model breaks, and you call in for support, the answer is usually buy a new one. They offered me 10% off in the past, right after a 30% email had come out for new stuff. I was a bit offended from that. So, yeah, I would recommend for safety, expect no real tech support form the company, they are not a green company - send back old units, etc. Just know that you will use it until it dies, then you will need to buy a new one.”
