“While the camera in light are functionally okay their interface with the mobile app is appalling and if you combine it with a fly 6 pro taillight camera the functionality of the mobile app is even worse. The app has very intermittent success at connecting to Wi-Fi so that you can view the videos. It will connect one day and the very next day simply won't connect despite being in exactly the same position.
And that leaves aside the fact that Cycliq does not make any mention of the fact that you can't connect the fly 12 and the fly 6 to the mobile app at the same time it's either one or the other. And they fight each other for the connection
Cycliq has a lot of work to do to get there mobile app anywhere near an acceptable level.”
“The quality is good. But there are a few glitches. The mounting device is only for straight bars. If the bar is a bit curved it's not possible to adjust it. And in addition it's not fix. The rubber is too big and you can't tighten the screws enough. Third, there is no way to see the picture if mounted. Not on the cam itself, and not on the app. So you tighten the screw, attach the cam, make a short video, detach it, look on the computer if the angle was correct. And again and again.
And during use, if you want to press the lock-button, you need to look to the buttons. I switched on light so often, I switched the light function of in the app to avoid it.”
“I have no use for this on my factor ostro vam. Who has a round handlebar these days? Would be nice if onevday someone would make a mount to fit aerodynamic bars”
“It’s very fiddly to insert the protector lenses and they pop out when the case is removed for charging. Resorted to super glue.I’m not sure they are necessary.”
