“The camera is a nice, compact thing and easy to use. I like having the app to set it up and it was very easy, even for a hamfisted techno-dunce like me. It came with a range of fixings for all bits of the bike I may want to fix it to.However I'm not sure it has met my expectations for the price - picture quality is still not good enough to get all number plates clearly. I would also like to be able to easily change the light mode - currently it is too fiddly to do as you ride along, especially when wearing winter gloves.”
“More basic than the other cameras they do, but lower price, so feels like better value. Not too many bells and whistles but it works, and as a back up to a front camera it is fine. I wouldn't like to rely on it entirely as the resolution options are more limited than the Fly12. Still works with the app and is easy to set up.”
“Got it out of the packet, put it on the seat post to do up and the metal loop broke, they replaced it quickly, but pretty poor to have it break while putting it on for the first time.”
“I like that it can be mounted on the handlebar and isn't too prominent, but I'm concerned about it's reliability. I plugged it in last night and realised that the files it had been recording for the past few days (but not before that!) had been corrupted and can't be read. I'd feel VERY stupid if I actually needed one of them. The mac desktop app doesn't work at all (doesn't even launch) and the whole thing is quite expensive”
“This is my second Fly12 due to water ingress causing the sad card to fail, the camera lens to mist up. Customer service have always replaced the unit free no issues with customer service.”
“Looks pretty sturdy but the handlebar doesn't quite make it all the way round my bars. Consequently I can't quite screw in the bolt to hold it in place. Check your handlebars aren't too big or oval shaped before you buy this”
“New Fly 12 sport is as bad as the previous 3. Basic design faults and bad firm ware. 1st long ride, 9 random locked segments. This fault has been known for years and several fix attempts made to no avail. The poor charge port/card door fails after a while, and very quickly lets in damp that affects the card. The record light is at the back and can't be seen when riding. The screen at the back is of no use. Why not have the record light at the front where you can see it and have it Green as the fly 12 CE. Very poor value for money, much better cameras on the market for half the price. I know why you sell the mount brackets in pair's, because they fail.”
