“This is my second Fly12 due to water ingress causing the sad card to fail, the camera lens to mist up. Customer service have always replaced the unit free no issues with customer service.”
“Looks pretty sturdy but the handlebar doesn't quite make it all the way round my bars. Consequently I can't quite screw in the bolt to hold it in place. Check your handlebars aren't too big or oval shaped before you buy this”
“New Fly 12 sport is as bad as the previous 3. Basic design faults and bad firm ware. 1st long ride, 9 random locked segments. This fault has been known for years and several fix attempts made to no avail. The poor charge port/card door fails after a while, and very quickly lets in damp that affects the card. The record light is at the back and can't be seen when riding. The screen at the back is of no use. Why not have the record light at the front where you can see it and have it Green as the fly 12 CE. Very poor value for money, much better cameras on the market for half the price. I know why you sell the mount brackets in pair's, because they fail.”
“I am pretty disappointed with this product and the related apps. I thought it was possible to download videos to my iPhone because it has an app. I am not sure if this is mentioned in the advertising. The app for the Mac is quite poor and I could never get it to connect. There is discrepant information about if you can connect the app to the camera by WiFi to download; however, I was not able to get this to work. The directions with the unit are not clear. The only way I could download the videos is by removing the as card and downloading from the sd card. This is not convenient. Given how far technology has come with dashcams, this seems like a pretty outdated product.
The video quality is pretty good. I’m not too impressed with the microphone, but that is not a concern for me personally. Had I known it was so difficult to download the app, I would not have purchased this. While the light works fine, it is difficult to change it. I don’t want it on when trail-riding during the day but have not found an option to turn it off and have it record. This should be something that can be easily done.
For all the marketing Cycliq is doing, this really seems like a rushed or prematurely released product.”
