“I got this for my boyfriend as a graduation present. He described wanting something "professional, but not too formal" and I wanted to get him something chic and handsome! I also really wanted to get something sustainable, ethical, and well-made. His work laptop is also 16" so it was a challenge to find something that fit the bill that was also big enough. “I have been using my bag for about 2 weeks now, and in general it is a good bag, but there are a few comments that would make it significantly better in my mind:
1. The no dangle straps are great, however they are too long. They don't let the bag sit high enough on my back even when they are all the way tightened up. I am over 6 feet tall, so it's not a huge deal for me, but if I were any shorter this would probably be a deal-breaker and I would be returning.
2. 95% of the bag is excellent quality, but the one thing that they really cheaped out on was the clasp holding the two straps together on top. It is a cheap magnet style clasp, and if you have any weight in the bag, when you pick it up with the top straps this clasp just releases, making it essentially useless.
3. I agree with a few other commenters that the pocket on the side for the cell phone is too small, a phone doesn't actually fit in it, and the pocket on top is also not deep enough. In theory it sounds great to throw your glasses in there, but realistically I want to throw my glasses in their case in that pocket. It is so shallow that my small glasses case doesn't even fit in it.
Overall the look is great, I like the maple brown color for office use, and really like the simplicity. 5 stars on the look, 3 stars on the functionality due to the issues above.”
“The backpack arrived with minor scratches which isn’t really that much of a concern for me but overall the backpack is very good quality and as a 4’11” petite woman it doesn’t look too bulky on me. It’s great that I could fit my 32 oz hydro flask in the water bottle compartment not having to worry about it falling. I love the pockets and the space that this backpack offers. I’m looking forward to using this bag for college.”
