“I love my Day Owl bag so far. First off, shipping was fast and it came in so little packaging. Amazing!
The small backpack is just the right size for my daily carry of a 13inch MacBook Pro, notebooks, charging cables, a bunch of pens, water bottle (love that side compartment!), umbrella, and even a sweatshirt!
You can really pack a lot in there!
Aesthetics and materials are great as well. I love how my bag looks when I leave it open next to my desk (that way the other things I’m not currently using stay out of the way but still organized and in reach. The muted blue color of the lining is beautiful.
I also love that it doesn’t have flappy straps.
One thing I’m not really using is the small side pocket (not the waterproof pocket but the other side). It seems kind of too small. I wanted to put my passport in when I was traveling, but it didn’t fit.
I’d be interested in checking out the larger version for travel purposes. But the small version seems to handle my daily carry needs.
One downside is that it isn’t the most comfortable when packed full and carried on longer walks. The straps have venting but the back does not, and I’ve found it can get a little sticky on a humid summer day. I’m still perfecting the fit to get the most ergonomic and comfortable placement… it’s been a little tricky to find the right spot.
I hope that the bag quality holds up because I am in love with this bag and want to use it everyday!”
“I've been loving my Day Owl backpack so far! The quality is great and it's very comfortable. Now that I'm no longer in college I wanted a smaller backpack that looks a little more professional and this is perfect. I took a risk and got a misfit backpack and I'm so glad I did! I saved a little money and it still looks amazing. The abundance of pockets is super helpful, but I was a little underwhelmed by the size of the water bottle pocket. I bought the smaller backpack and my 18oz water bottle doesn't quite fit all the way. Downsizing my bottle isn't a big deal, I was just expecting it to be bigger from the description. Other than that, I haven't had any complaints! I love the emphasis they have on sustainability and seem like a really great company overall.”
“I never thought I'd be as obsessed with a backpack as I am. I purchased the Misfit for my commute + work, and I couldn't be happier! I was afraid the regular size backpack would be too large for my petite self, and the slim would be too small to carry my 13" laptop and other accessories. The Misfit is PERFECT! It is just the right size - not too big or too small. The material is so incredibly soft and is such a beautiful color. I would wear this everywhere possible if I didn't want to keep it in pristine condition. The only things I can think of would be that the water bottle pocket doesn't really fit any of my Nalgenes or Hydro Flasks, and I do worry about stains from rain. Other than that, 10/10.”
“It's a really nice backpack and i love how many compartments it has for organizing. Unfortunately the normal size is a bit too big for me (and a little heavy). The slim backpack may be better for petite girls.”
“I purchased one of the misfit backpacks, and honestly its awesome. I love the size and the separate computer compartment. I have not yet used this for travel, but the functionality so far works great for me and how I like to organize my stuff. The material is thick, quality canvas and I can tell the stitching will hold through the wear.”
