“I own a wood fired pizza restaurant. The funny thing is I don’t use it in my ovens. Here in the Pacific Northwest it is hard to keep cooking wood under 21% moisture. I built my own kiln and use the fireboard pro with the type k probes. I "cook" the wood for 24 to 38 hours straight. The fireboard has not failed. The type k probes wear out. I have used the thermoworks and every one of them have failed and their customer service is lacking to say the least. I started my first session in the Kiln on Nov. 23 2021. I use the probes in three places on the top of the wood, in the middle and on the bottom in front of the outlet fan. The fan can only tolerate up to 165 degrees. 254 degrees on top and 199 degrees in the middle. Keeps working great. Definitely worth the investment.. Thank you Fireboard”
