“What a wonderful product! I stopped dying my hair 10 years ago and have had naturally grey/white hair since but I thought I would like a change but didn't want any chemicals to ruin my hair, which was the reason I stopped dying it. I searched the internet and found Gentle Hair Dye. I was very scepticle but thought I would give it a go, so glad I did! I chose Toasted Wheat as I wanted an Ash tone to blend in with my natural hair colour. I asked my hairdresser to put the streaks in my hair and she was intrigued as to how it would turn out without ammonia, peroxide or bleach. She was amazed at how good the colour looked and so was I! It's very subtle and leaves your hair feeling wonderful. I am now feeling very brave and am buying more and will mix and match colours. It's not at all scary to use and the bonus is it will wash out after around 18 washes which means I can change my colour every few weeks without damaging my hair.”

“I just had to write a review to say how impressed I am with the water gel, I've just tried a new shade and it is so natural looking which is exactly what I was hoping for to blend in my grey, I have used similar products from other more well known brands and this blows them out of the water, knowing it's natural ingredients that dont irritate my scalp is a huge bonus ...I was also really impressed with how easy the subscription service is to use, I'm always wary of subscriptions but I was able to easily amend my order and pause it when not needed, it's not often I'm so impressed by a product! These guys are doing everything right!”

“Love, love, love the Gentle Hair Dye products! They are exactly what they say on the tin! I’ve used them for years and they really are gentle and don’t damage your hair. The new gels are amazing! They follow the natural mix of colour in your hair so you never get the ‘just coloured’ look. They also allow you to experiment with mixing 2 colours. I love this because it’s just no big deal if it’s not quite what you wanted … It’s water based and it fades naturally.”

“Gel works better than the original and lasts well if you leave it on long enough. I am going to try some other colours and have googled how to mix custom colours. I don't make phone calls so customer service is not an option for me. Would like an email option but can't see one. Really pleased with his the new product. Thanks!”

“I previously gave a one star as I struggled to get the right colour without immediate fade, then I went darker colour which took too well, a bit too dark. I think I've cracked it. My hair must be quite resistant. I've gone back to the original chocolate but used about 80 ml water instead of 90, left it on for an hour. The night before I used a clarifying shampooh. Afyer applying colour gel and covering with cap. I aplied heat via a diffuser and covered with a towel, then 30 mins later removed the towel and applied heat again. This time the colour took well and was the right shade (not too dark). Hopefully it doesn't wash out too quickly. I was determined to make this work as I wanted to go gentle on my hair as it is very curly and doesn't like the products. used in box dyes. Hair is in excellent condition after dying. Those are my tips if anyone is struggling. I did check with Gentle Hair dry customer services that it was safe to leave on for an hour and apparently other people with resistant hair do also. I've just ordered 6 more vials of the same colour.”
