“I don't understand why this is in the hottest category. Its flavorful, but to me, not hot or spicy at all. It tastes like a supreme pizza. I've tried it by itself and on multiple foods and I still get the same "pizza" flavor.”

“This is now one of my favorite "Intense" hot sauces. (Unique Garlique is another favorite of mine). The 9 rating is well earned. It is a bit of a slow build and will then burn your lips and hovers just below the "too intense" marker for me. Perfect heat for a very, very hot sauce. And it has so much flavor. If you love anise, licorice, or Sambuca, you'll love this sauce. It's thick, and needs to be shaken well. And even when I shook it well, for the first dab I had to use a butter knife to clear out the glob that was at the top of the bottle. Because of all the flavor, I could see myself using this more than I do the Unique Garlique and battling through the burn. Really wonderful flavor and intense hot sauce.”

“An absolutely delicious hot sauce. Seems to fit on almost anything that needs a little twist or kick. I'm not sure I'd ever describe the heat as a 9/10, but maybe I just got a more timid batch than usual.”

“I always try the new number 9 with each season. I wish I had read what was in it prior to purchasing. The sambuca flavor is STRONG and is terrible. Sad to throw out an entire bottle of sauce.”

“This is a fantastic sauce, well rounded and flavorful. Sambuca adds nice subtle touch and the Fennel is a lite finish. The heat is spicy.”
