“This is one of those sauces that tries really hard to be different. I don't mind a hint of melon or whatever, but a hot sauce is, to me, is supposed to be just that, a hot sauce. This one is too sweet and has too much fruit (melon) flavor for me. The overwhelming sweetness and flavor detracts from my tacos, or whatever I am eating, so I don't like this one. It is medium heat, like a 4 or 5 out of 10. Yeah, not a fan. If you like sweet hot sauces and flavors then give this one a try.”

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it really sings on turkey wraps and ham pizza. The melon pairs great with pork! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

“This hot sauce is sooo good. At first, i wasn't sure if i was going to like it, but the more i ate it, the better it tastes. It is the perfect amount of sweet and spicy and goes well with everything. I will definitely be buying a couple more bottles of this.”

“This isn’t one of those sauces that punches you in the teeth right off the bat. But it’s got that creeping, cumulative heat that sneaks up on you. Really tasty flavors for something Caribbean inspired.”

“If you're a fan of hot sauce but not a spice junkie, this is perfect! Has a very pleasant, sweet flavor, with just a kick of heat. My spice tolerance is very average, and I was able to handle it straight on various dishes, from pasta, to eggs, to chicken.”

“The most unique and flavorful hot sauce I have ever tried. It’s bright and sweet cantaloupe flavor is balanced by the quick heat of the scotch bonnets. Love and hate this hot sauce. Love because it tastes so good, hate because it’s sooo hot lol.”

“This sauce has a very different and unique flavor profile. I wasn’t quite sure at first taste…second bite hooked me. It’s delicious! Great on breakfast. I also tried on chicken and pork chops- both very tasty! Would definitely recommend. This is my new second fave sauce.”

“This has been a flexible and often used component of a variety of the dishes I cook. Even when I'm feeling super lazy, like last night when I had the intention of making something out of my cookbook, but ended up making Kraft Mac N Cheese. I added in some of The Phoenix while mixing the butter, milk, cheese powder, and it even took THAT to a higher new level. Like a "If you served this to me in a restaurant, I would not have guessed (obvi, aside from the look of the noodles) that this was box MnC," kind of level.”
