“This is a good sauce for the heat seeker, but I feel a little let down on the flavor side. It has a bit too much of the bitter tones and I guess I was expecting more of the ingredients to shine through. The heat goes away fairly quickly, so that could be a plus as well, but it was not my favorite. I think that maybe if there was a touch more acidity, it would be much better.”

“Beautiful jar and design. We initially used this sauce for our own wing gauntlet and it did not disappoint. It's too bad almost that this one comes after da bomb because da bomb is so overwhelming. (In the line up) However, I went back for seconds to get a good taste of the flavor. It's a delicious heat! A spicy sauce that can be enjoyed too.”

“This sauce tastes like ground peppers with nothing else. I enjoy hot sauce that has flavor, if I wanted the flavor of ground peppers, I would buy peppers and grind them myself for a lot cheaper.”

“On the heat scale, I've had hotter. But don't be silly with this stuff. I loaded up an omlette with hashbrowns and what not and put a very generous amount of this sauce on top ... I guess I didn't real the ingredients very well, I saw peppers and thought 'well they didn't say which, so it must not be hot'. Hey fam, it's hot. I was 100% drooling about 80% into my meal. Use it sparingly, the flavor is really good, but if you load up you will lose the flavor and the ghost pepper will assault your face with no remorse.”

“Really tasty with the garlic, lemon, and other flavors, definitely gives the Costa Rica vibe. Was so tasty I immediately added more to my wing. This was a mistake, the heat just tickles the back of your throat at first, but 15 to 30 seconds later it was screaming. I'm pretty good with spicy foods, not the best though either, I think the 600k scoville rating was right. It just takes a bit for the heat to kick in but then it lingers for much longer than other sauces, almost like an actual pepper”

“Picked up a bottle of this recently and let's face it....gonna need a new one very soon. Yes it is hot but the flavor gives it good balance. I love costa rican hot sauces. More on the heat...It advertises 600 something thousand scoville. I feel like that it generous. No way this is 2 times hotter than Maddog. I feel like this is made for breakfast food. My daily breakfast lately has been toast with avacado and egg, and a good layer of hot sauce in the middle of it all. Definitely worth the higher price tag.”

“WARNING: You will burn ya face off. Ok, not actually super hot to me but i'm a professional. If you are an amateur do not mess around. Certainly enough to make you feel like you are in Costa Rica in the middle of a heat wave. Great earthy taste as it is loaded with peppers.”
