The three-word summary, "Garlic, Reaper, Peppery" couldn't be more accurate as those are the three flavor profiles you get in sequence every time you take a bite. There are subtle smokey notes from the black garlic and the way it interacts with the flavors of the Carolina Reaper. This is a wonderful, spicy substitute for some of the mass-produced "chipotle" sauces out there, but make sure you spread the love. Getting a concentrated bite can produce some searing heat, but the best news is that it doesn't stick around long.

The garlic in this sauce was definitely the star of the show in my opinion, with just enough sweetness from the maple syrup to add a little something extra without making it too sugary (I don't really like sweet food). A must buy if you love garlic and a manageable amount of heat. 71,000 shu according to Hot Ones.

It's super vinegary at first and that might turn some people off, but it eventually gives way to a smoky, average heat. It's not really intense but it does linger and stick around for a bit. It's an OK sauce for things like eggs, and maybe a burrito, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.

This sauce is just a sneak peak of the Carolina Reaper. It’s got some flavor along with a smoky kick.

There is a good amount of heat. The heat is almost automatic on your tongue. The flavor is good, but not overpowering.

The garlic and pepper are definitely noticeable in this sauce, and the heat -- whoa. It practically detonated on my tongue and I was worried it would drown out the food. However, the heat subsides fairly quickly, much like hot mustards do. This isn't a bad thing, though.

This sauce I felt one way about and then I tried it. Its very good. I thought it would be heavy on garlic. However I didn't really taste that much of the garlic. I did get the maple syrup though. With the reaper sneaking up on the back side. Very good but kinda of reminds me of a spicy BBQ sauce.

The sauce is described as having black garlic and a hint of sweet maple. I get the black garlic, but the maple is lost in the vinegary finish. It is definitely hot and a little dab by itself will do you per bite, but I was hoping for something a little more savory and less vinegar. Still, a very good hot sauce.
