The heat index may be a 5/10 but this sauce is a 20/10. From its initial cumin overload, to the stupendous sting that reverberates down my tongue and straight to my spice-lord heart... this sauce is a staple in my meal rolodex as of late. Pizza, chicken, tacos... that's just for starters. Feelin' froggy? Toss that garlic gloriousness in a batch of guacamole, stir it up and get to dippin'. Genuinely, this stuff is the nectar of the spice gods. If I could order a case... I would. I will always have this in my hot sauce arsenal. Always.

This is just an amazing sauce that has everything you want like tomatillo and cumin but it is light enough you can actually taste the celery seed salty and the earthy peppers and garlic and onion. This is one of my go to sauces when entertaining.

I like to add hot sauce to pretty much anything. Spice adds another dimension to food that otherwise would be absent. Louisiana hot sauce has been my go-to for years. I purchased this sauce about 2-months ago. I went through the entire bottle, by myself, in 1-month. I put it on everything. It has massive flavor and went well with just about anything EXCEPT pizza. It is a bit sweet and definitely goes best with hispanic foods. The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star instead of 5 is because there was very little heat. I expected more being 5/10 on their scale. If Heatonist rated it a 2 or 3/10 I would give it 5. I'm bumping up on the next go around to see what their 7/10 feels like.

The sauce is not bad. It’s just LOADED with cumin. It’s practically a cumin sauce. For all the ingredients in it, cumin stands out by far. If that’s your thing, then this is the sauce to get.

I am a hot sauce newb so I thought this would be a good choice to start, IT WAS! I was expecting crazy hot being 5/10 but (maybe it is just me) I didn't find it much hotter than Sriracha, the heat seemed to last a while, maybe that is why it got that rating. The only downside is that I ended up using the bottle very fast, it is very tasty, it was good on everything from pizza to Mexican food to hard boiled eggs. 4/5 stars only because I expected it to be hotter. I think it would be cool to make a 2x hotter version of this sauce (if possible).

I have about 9 new bottles of hot sauce and I was trying to think of what would be my first sauce to try just for flavour. I chose Los Calientes over Bravado Black Garlic Carolina Reaper, and Bunster's Black Label for my top three deep flavour predictions. Smelling the sauce, I found it interesting, but I felt like I may have made the wrong choice of the three. It doesn't smell like my preferred tastes (but it doesn't smell bad). I tossed some wings in it, gave it a shot, and my god was I wrong. The flavour grew on me instantly, and by wing 2 I was completely hooked. The sauce is absolutely delicious and I can easily see it being incredible on more than just wings. I already know I'm getting some more of this one soon. It's surprising to see this is a sauce created by a YouTube Channel, but that just says something about how serious they are about flavour and sauce. Flavour breakdown: The biggest flavour is probably the apple cider mixing with the tomatillo. Then you have a tiny amount of citrus, and the orange habanero kicks in and lightly taps your shoulder saying hi. The spice is not hot, but its present, and very well mixed in. It's a light, flavourful kick that lasts. It is not small enough though for you to ignore. Beautiful balancing work. It tastes like summer beach freshness. I'd give the sauce a solid 9/10 for quality, I'm definitely buying it again, and recommend it to everyone (Especially those trying to raise their spice levels from low to high).
