If you like beets you will enjoy this. I don't get a lot of distinct different flavors other than beet and a horseradish effect. I believe this will go nicely with beef. Judging by the comments I believe there are consistency issues with this hot sauce.

Hey there, thanks so much for giving this sauce a try! Love the suggestion for pairing it with beef. We also like using it as a marinade for pork chops or chicken kebobs. The texture really shines when you use it as a marinade pre-cooking. Thanks for staying spicy! :)

This sauce is addictive! It is so good with almost anything. I love the earthy undertones and lots of interesting flavors. The complexity is so fun!

Came in this month’s subscription box and was immediately taking by the ingredients list, which seemingly wouldn’t work together. And yet, I can’t imagine any of them being left out. Cooked with pork chops, then dabbed every bite. The tasting notes are spot on. You won’t be disappointed…do yourself a favor and grab a bottle.

This sauce has an off-putting taste that I really don't like. I've been a fan of about every sauce I've gotten in the monthly subscription boxes for the past two years, but this one, hands down, is the worst I've gotten. I do not recommend. It's hard to explain the taste, other than off-putting and just not right. Not for me I guess... But hey, at least it's healthy!!

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it really sings on burgers, pork chops, and in grain bowls. Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

Tastes like beets. Has great color. Chunky consistency. Hard to find good pairings for it, but it does work well with chicken. So different though, can see some people falling in love with it.

Thanks so much for giving HEATONIST No. Seven a try! Totally hear you, we set out to make something a little more unique with this one, with ingredients we hadn't see in any other hot sauce, which makes it less all purpose but sometimes more fun. :) Love the suggestion to pair this with chicken - we also love it with mediterranean eats like falafel and hummus!

I don't know why it has all of the seedy little chunky bits of 3/4 blended pistachio, seeds, and beets, but it does. I would probably really like this if it were just fully blended smooth. I can really only taste the pistachio and general hot sauce taste. It's not bad flavor wise, it's primarily sour, sweet, and nutty, but can't get past the chunks. I'm going to try popping it in a nutribullet to get the pieces of pistachio fully dispersed into the sauce without chewing.

Hi there - thanks so much for trying this anniversary sauce! Totally understand the texture may not be for everyone. We've found this sauce really shines as a marinade or even as a salad dressing, where the texture actually adds a little something. Try it out and we'll pass on your feedback to the team, too. Thank you!

This sauce is certainly different than any I have tried before. There is a hint of smokiness from the Serranos, a touch of sour from the vinegar, a tad of sweet from the pomegranate, and a bold earthy note from the beets. Rounding all that off is a pleasantly nutty hint of pistachio on the back end. The heat is very mild. It does have a slight kick, but I would set it around a 1/10 on the heat scale. It has a thinner consistency with almost pulp-like chunks of goodness. Overall, a different experience, but an extremely enjoyable flavor journey. I would most certainly agree with the description above when it comes to pairing. Would be excellent with pork or brisket. Enjoy! I know i did!
