Not as spicy as advertised. Here was the response I got from a rep from Torchbearer when I wrote asking if it was possible that my bottle got mislabeled because it was, frankly, not spicy. “No, it’s Zombie. The issue is (as with any production process) it’s only as hot as the batch of peppers. And in this case it seems that the Ghost chili was not as hot as the batch before it. Peppers vary greatly depending the temp and the amount of water they get. Last year was a very rainy year, so sadly I think the peppers suffered in heat. We hadn’t noticed this til recently. The peppers we had been using had been great, but some of them (probably picked at a different time of year) we just not as hot it turned out.” So he admitted that they were producing duds, and after several emails all I was offered was a 25% discount on another bottle. My take... we are not buying these sauces based on the recipe, but we are buying them because they are spicy. If you market a sauce as your second spiciest sauce and 500,000+ scoville, you should stand by those claims and not produce a sauce that doesn't meet those metrics. So when they claim, "There is nothing we can do when the batch of peppers happens to be less hot than normal. On the flip side, sometimes they are much hotter than usual as well.," I say there is something... not sell it. And when someone gets burned (or not in this case) by buying a dud... just refund them or offer to send them a new bottle.

This is my favorite hot sauce. It tastes far better than most regular hot sauces and has a nice level of heat (not the hottest by far, but the taste balances it out). I have no idea why some reviews are mentioning a vinegar flavor since it has far less vinegar than most sauces.

This sauce was decently tasty when I first used it as a dipping sauce. Nothing to write home about, but decent. However, once I tossed some wings in it, all I tasted was heat. It took some time to heat up, but once it did all I could taste was vinegary fire. I'm sure this sauce tastes great for some people, but definitely not for me.

Love the taste, but its advertise as a hotter sauce than it is. In comparison, I find the Dawson Original has a little bit more punch than the Zombie Apocalypse, the Hamajang too. But its definitly worth buying if you're exploring taste and not just heat.

Rich and flavorful, though the taste is a bit nondescript. There are so many ingredients here that the end experience is a little diluted. The heat is decent - fades a bit rapidly, but there's a buttery moreishness that will keep you tipping the bottle.

Very good sauce. The ghost pepper taste is strong, with a small hint of oranges. Its as spicy as i was hoping it would be, with just a couple wings your mouth is on fire. Will be buying again

Perfect amount of heat and great texture. The flavor is good but seems like it's missing something. Overall I'm happy with it.
