“I have to say this isn't a bad sauce in terms of flavor or heat, but I've been trying to figure it out ever since I got it - adding some to just about every meal at home, even stuff that doesn't make sense - and there's just too much going on in there. Take a look at the ingredients list, the flavor profile really is that confusing. I bought it anyway based on the very high rating and glowing reviews, as well as their excellent Mushroom Mayhem sauce, but this one seems to be all over the map. Too sweet overall, and the tomato with oregano throws me off, and then you add in mustard and turmeric and I'm just left wondering why. Weirdly, it is still a tasty sauce, just not one I could really find a good pairing for, so I'm only docking it one point.”

“This bites you. But, close your eyes, wait… and boom! There’s the chocolate. Took a few rounds but it’s there. I freaking love this stuff.”

“I really wanted to like this sauce, On paper, it should have been good. Maybe it was a bit too smoky to me and some of the flavors were too overpowering. It has a decent flavor and the heat is in a good sweet spot, but I think I need to look elsewhere in the torchbearer lineup.”

“A have a bottle of the garlic reaper sauce from these guys and it is intense. This Son of Zombie sauce is a little easier of the sinuses.”

“The flavor profile of this one just didn't appeal to me. My go-to test for sauces is my morning egg white & veggie scramble, and this one just adds an uncomplimentary flavor to it. It would likely pair better with wings, but there are just so many other sauces out there I've tried that have a nicer flavor, IMHO.”
