“As a prior pepper grower, I will say that the Fatalii pepper rears it's sharp bite and over powers the flavor. However, Carnival is an excellent sauce that needs to be your possession. Not for the faint of heart and definitely a butt burner.”

“My first bottle of Carnival (so far) had a great brightness to its taste as the Scotch Bonnet really came through strong. Growing up eating Bonnets from our garden (ouch, at the time), Carnival helped turn meals into a time machine. I normally gravitate toward the hotter offerings, but the prominence of the Bonnet made it special despite the relative tameness. I really enjoyed this one. Don't expect a wildfire.”

“I wanted to like this sauce, as I really like several other Karma sauces, but it is simply too hot to enjoy. The onset of overwhelming heat is so quick, I can just barely detect some interesting flavors before the scorpion pepper eliminates my sense of taste. I'd say this is hotter than 7/10, certainly hotter than other sauces I've had that were rated higher than this. I think it's this particular mix of peppers that makes it punishing to eat, and the other flavors are just too subtle to stand up to that. For comparison, look at Trinidadian hot sauces that use scorpion peppers - the rest of the ingredients are very assertive and balanced well against all that heat. This Carnival sauce just plain hurts, without bringing much else to the table. I don't usually have difficulty with the hotter sauces, but I wish they had dialed this one back a bit, because I can taste the potential this sauce has, if only for a moment before it burns away my taste buds.”

“I'd say this is currently my favorite hot sauce. It's just utterly delicious. You'll get a nice sweet flavor followed by some pretty high heat. I killed this bottle so quick, I'm having to order another.”
