We do not agree with the rave reviews. We were hoping it would be similar to the Trinidadian sauce my friend's mom makes: floral, fruity, hot with a good lime/vinegar/salt balance. But that's not why we're giving it one star. Of the assorted 10 bottle batch we bought, I'd much rather put The Constrictor on things. Now that has good floral [reaper] flavor and fruity esters. This sauce...is just sugar sweetness followed by pungent raw pepper, they may as well have used green variants instead of waiting for yellow. Sweet, quickly giving way to bitter and a lingering hot. This may be for some people who like a dry flavorless heat, but we'll probably never use this bottle up.

I feel the heat rating they give this one is pretty fair, 7/10... but it tastes so good I just want to keep piling it on, and the heat builds after a while. So be careful! This one is great if you want decently (but not extremely) hot with a really good flavor.

This sauce has a huge problem. It's way too delicious. It has a bright, sweet flavor that really compliments the slow building heat of the scotch bonnet peppers. To my taste, it's a medium-high heat sauce, but if you accidentally eat half the bottle in one go like me you'll definitely feel that sweet lingering burn. It's thick, almost like a scotch bonnet salsa. I wish it came in a big jar like salsa. I really enjoy eating this directly on pita chips. This is my favorite sauce.

Received this sauce with the subscription box last month. When I saw it was rated at 5/10 at that time, I figured it would be closer to Los Calientes in heat , but definitely not (admittedly, my mistake knowing the peppers used in the sauce). It is a delicious hot sauce, but closer to a 7 or 8 out of 10, so thank you for updating the info to reflect that. The flavor is so good that it made me want more, even though the heat was starting to build. Basically, this sauce is the "John Cougar" of John Mellencamp's career because it hurts so good. Okay, I'll just see myself out. But seriously, great flavor with good heat.

This is a very good sauce. At first, you will notice a very pleasant sweetness similar to that of Los Calientes. Then, when you are taking your second bite the severity of the situation hits and you realize that you have been tricked into putting far too much sauce on bite #2... but it is too late. That said... it is an excellent sauce. I haven't learned my lesson and still use too much :)

Got this bad boy in the sub box and man does it deliver!!! Great taste especially on chicken and the heat is there. IMO it's more of a 7/8 on the heat scale. Can't state enough though, the flavor is awesome and you can't stop eating it!!!

Recieved this with the subscription box. I must say, I would rate this a little higher than 5/10 heat. Has a nice kick to it with a nice flavor. Perfect everyday sauce for spice lovers. Had it on pizza, just delightful.
