It's too bulky. Handle is unpractical, they fitted the size of the one you can find on shovels, it's overkill. Missing hanging hole. Also the spike is hold by one screw which is incorrect head and it was delivered lose but it's sharp and made of one piece of metal without visual joint so it should last but as mentioned earlier not very practical for small seeds planting. I will keep testing it.

Finish of item delivered not as shown in photo. Although this was not an expensive item, it should at least arrive in a finished state that at least approximates that shown in the photo on Amazon. The dibber I received is poorly finished in 4 places :(1) At the bottom of the wooden shaft where it meets the metal point there is a rough flat section where some wood is missing. This means the shaft at this point is not round and smooth like it should be. This cannot be repaired and I will have to live with it.(2) The meeting point between the shaft and the metal point it has not been finished as shown in the Amazon photo. The whole way around this joint, the wood is rough and splintered. I will need to spend time trying to either cut or sand the splintered parts away.(3) One end of the handle has been sanded and finished perfectly flat. The other end is not flat and has a ridge where different sanding directions have been performed. Not a functional issue but visually poor.(4) There appears to be a small hole at the tip of the metal point. This will allow moisture to enter the inside of the metal point and possibly rot away the interior wood over time. From the good feedback provided by others I can only think my dibber is a classic Friday afternoon product and somehow escaped any sort of quality inspection. Considering the small cost of the tool I am unlikely to go to the trouble of returning it, but felt I should alert other potential buyers to be aware that not all examples of this tool are as perfect as other reviews might lead you to believe.

It’s a good dibber. Nice dibber, not had it long enough to say for sure on the robustness, but it seems fine. Works well, as expected from this maker
