Sturdy Construction. Been meaning to buy something like this for ages, usually end up using a bit of twig or something which generally breaks after a few holes. Sturdy and well made should make planting out my seedlings much easier.

Too small. Need something slightly wider for crocus, narcissus etc . Is beautifully made though and I have the larger bulb planter in the same range

Looks tough and strong but the retaining screw does not. This looks as if it were strong enough to make a hole in anything and the long metal spike should ease its use.The retaining screw which secures the spike looks rather small and weak and I would have expected something like a 1012mm wood screw being used rather than something that resembles a short grub screw. That section of the handle is quite thick and deserves a stronger fitment. However the product is relatively inexpensive and some compromises are to be expected, even from a respected brand such as this.
