About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “We were very kindly gifted this toy from Jaques of London and, as always, I'm so impressed with it. This fishing game is brilliant quality, so beautiful and just so much fun. We got this for my one year old daughter and she is slightly young for the game but still has so much fun playing with us doing hand over hand and she also absolutely loves watching us pick up the fishes on the fishing rod and then she can grab them off and put them back in the box. The box is lovely and has handles which are great for carrying it around and the game itself comes with instructions for two different games (you can choose the one most suitable for the age/stage of the players) and a variety of very brightly coloured sea creatures. On one side is the sea creature and on the other side is a letter/symbol. It's a great game that is going to last such a long time due to the way you can develop and enhance the game as your little ones get older. The only thing I would say is, if you're playing with little ones do keep an eye (as you would with any little toys!) as there is a small magnet on each piece so definitely a game for supervised play. Although we were gifted this game, we have bought toys from Jaques of London before with our own money and we will 100% purchase from them again. When shopping with Jaques of London you can guarantee high quality, beautiful toys and plenty of fun!”
