About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “I bought this for my granddaughters who were born 6 days apart, I love wooden toys and the craftsmanship of Jaques is amazing, can’t wait for Christmas so that they can start learning and playing through this lovely shape sorter.”

“This is well made and lovely colours, however there is an annoying design flaw. When received, the shapes are so well packed that they fit with the lid on but after use the lid just doesn't fit on properly. You'd have to throw away a couple of shapes to make it fit and if the walls were just a cm higher it would work.”
