About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “A lovely and high quality toy with a good range of shapes. However some similar shapes are in similar colours, e.g. the oval and circle are both in shades of pink, the square and rectangle are both in shades of orange. Especially for younger ages, it would be helpful if similar shapes were in more contrasting colours so when asking the child to pick out a certain shape you can use the colour name to help them.”

“Perfect for 12+ months toddler to learn shapes, colour matching and general coordination. Lots of variety of shapes and stored in a compact box. This toy will last generations !”
