About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. Why not come along for the trip with us!

I was disappointed in this product. Although the letters were wooden as described, the colour on them was achieved with a paper overlay rather than paint and had lifted slightly on a couple of the letter edges. I glued them down and they are okay but I would have preferred the colour on the letters to have been painted on.

Sadly, although my granddaughter loved the letters , the coloured paper started to peel off the letters with a few minutes of play
