About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “Well made, screw threads are excellent, everything seems to fit nicely. Nuts can be screwed on and off with your fingers. The spanner fits the square nuts only. There's nothing really to use the hammer on, except in play - the bolts are all screw-threaded. The ruler is just for show, which is fair enough for imaginative play (scale doesn't reach the ruler edge in any direction). An ideas sheet would be useful.”

“Great fun for 3 year old Grandson's imagination. His Father works in construction so he specifically enjoys chatting away with his dad as if on a building site...hilarious!”

“I bought this for my Grandson, I know we don't speak about it yet but, I bought for the big C. He will be almost 3 then and I am sure he will love it. Wood is great, colours nice and bright. I know it will last a long time being fro 'Jaques of London'.”
