About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “Beautiful item - packaged lovely - but disappointed that the discount code offered did not work and after contacting customer services when I had placed my order was basically told they couldn’t do anything - which has put me off ordering again !”

“I personally don't think this is good value for money, I thought I'd ordered a book but it is a flat cloth where you make pictures with a few wooden sea creatures provided, disappointed.”

“The little wooden animals are smooth and just the right size for little hands. I like the open ended nature of this "toy" ...so many possibilities and encourages children to develop stories, language, imagination and collaboration. Wonderful.”
