KickAss Instant Camping Hot Water System - 6L Reviews

4.5 Rating 168 Reviews
Great unit (DON'T forget the washer in the gas line like I did !), but it does cut out quickly from heating. Had it set to winter mode, water flow on lowest possible and heat medium and it cut out fairly quickly and had to reset and re-ignite. Needs a bracket or stand attachment for quick attachment/removal.

Such a good product, we are between houses and staying in a caravan while we build. This has been a really good necessity in this instance, simple and easy to set up. Only gripe is that the igniter NEEDS 1.6v to fire and operate. It worked for a week then stopped. I changed the batteries...nothing. The support crew insisted I check the batteries for voltage. I assumed new batteries would work, and that after only a week surely you should not have to change them. (D batteries say 1.5v on the side) Now after buying more batteries and getting them tested at the store to make sure they are over 1.6v, it works again. Just waiting to see how long they last before dropping in voltage.

The unit works very well, no problems heating Tassy water in winter. The only issue is the gas and shower head washers fit loosely , thus risk falling out and being lost. In the mud , sand, long grass etc. I could not find replacement washers in local hardware/gas stores nor ebay. Rang customer service who told me they couldn't help, and to be careful not to lose them! Not so happy with that reply!
