“I'm deeply disappointed by my first experience ordering from My Pet Chicken. I ordered 21 female chicks. Of the 21, 5 died in the first 24 hours, and 4 more who had been weak on arrival died within a couple days. I have been hatching and raising my own chicks for years and have never lost one of my own hatched chicks, so was shocked to lose almost half of my order. My Pet Chicken does not mail replacement chicks, and refunds only those that die within 48 hours, so I am out shipping costs in addition to the cost of the chicks that died after 48 hours. More importantly, I don't have the breeds that I'd specifically come to My Pet Chicken to order because they weren't available from local farmers. The chicks were shipped with no warming pads, so all I can assume is that the stress of transit in very cold march weather overwhelmed them, or there is poor care for the parents at the hatchery. I will not order again.”
“I ordered 7 rare breed chicks, and 1 speckled sussex ,but when I received my chicks ( which I picked up at the post office) 2 chicks were very weak and did not survive the trip , The other 6 chicks are very healthy and doing fine, It"s just sad to lose a few during shipment ,but graceful for the 6 that made it.”
