Baby Chicks: Blue/Black/Splash Laced Red Wyandotte Female Reviews

4.7 Rating 58 Reviews
I ordered to females of this breed approx. 2 years ago. One has coloring like a red laced Wyandotte and is beautiful. The other is has the blue on her more so than the picture representing this breed. She developed a crossed beak around 3 months of age. It has gotten more severe as time has gone on but she is very personable...probably because I baby her. I decided I did not want any peeps coming from her because am not sure of if this condition is genetic. So I let her roam with the flock and paid attention to where she liked to lay her eggs gathering them asap. However, she stopped laying this last spring for a while and I thoroughly checked her out thinking there was something wrong. Could not find anything. The she disappeared all together and I was very sad thinking the fox got her. To make a long story short she came back periodically and I could not find her or her nest she eventually came back with 6 very healthy peeps and all but 1 had her blue coloring. I am still surprised by her tenacity and intelligence. They can be a bit skittish this breed and I will say very vocal but endearing just the same I would order more and recommend these birds for family and pets as she is very personable with my 7 and 4 year old grandsons

My Blue Laced Red Wyandott is only 8 weeks old and is so pretty, and so sweet! She has a lot more blue in her lacing than the hen shown on the website. Beautiful, and sweet. What more could i ask for.
