Cozy Coop Heater Reviews

I ordered several items to prepare the brooding area for the nine new additions to our five year old flock. Everything was as expected. Items shipped promptly and the pricing was good. I would order from these guys again. Thank you.

My chickens enjoyed this in their coop on those cold spring nights. They cuddled up right next to it.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet since it is so warm here. I am remodeling my coop and I will permanently install these where the frizzles and silkies can use them easily. Love everything you do!

Great for the coop: Love how easy it is to mount. I do not have to worry about any lightbulbs popping, or possible fire issues. For chicks: found it not to get hot enough for them to be perfectly comfortable (week 0-2). Had to revert back to using a bulb.

For the first two weeks of bringing my chicks home, I used the old heat lamp with the orange, keep you up all night bulb. As I have been completing my integrative nutrition health coaching certification and learning all things to do with a healthy body, I understand my chicks need the same elements to succeed, including the great circadian rhythm which is to go to sleep when the sun goes down and get up with it. ( I was also losing sleep worrying about the real danger of fire - getting up at least once in the night to check on them ) I couldn't be happier with my cozy coop heater. I started them out on the warmest setting, then as they grew, turned it to the lower setting. My baby Brahma liked to roost on the top edge of the heater. I'm looking forward to being able to use this with the wall mounts in the big girls coop this winter!

Exactly as advertised. Allowed us to put our chicks outside even when the weather wasn't cooperating. We have ours on a dusk till dawn timer until the evenings stop dipping below 50. Had a couple nights of freezing temperatures and the chicks stayed nice and warm inside their coop.

It's a little bit strange to see all your baby chicks lined up facing the same direction as if they are waiting for a bus. I was a little surprised to see this product in this catalog, I worked in the offices for years were ladies had these kind of things under the desk to warm your feet and they were a favorite because quiet space heaters, just radiant with no fan. I know for a fact that many offices have had these left out over the weekend and have not burned down. So that inspires some confidence. I give this thing 5 stars because my little chickens were very comfortable with it and siddled up too it frequently, then usually ambled off to sleep in a pile. It even kept the room warm outside of the Brooder Box, It was a little unnerving when they first started leaning against the screen it looks like a big screen TV with them and if you touch it is hot, so worried about them being baby birds and all. It was unnecessary, the chicks did fine, the heater did fine, the house didn't burn down! And I didn't have to worry about some big red light bulb fricasseeing my baby chicks or shriveling up their little eyeballs. I'll be ordering more of these & recommend this product very highly!
