We are sorry to hear that your babies did not receive the frizzle genes but happy to hear how beautiful they have turned out anyway and in good health! Please let us know any time if you have any questions - My Pet Chicken is truly happy to help!
We are so very happy to hear your little ones are doing great and they inherited the frizzles! These babies are so adorable to have in a flock and we hope they will bring you many years of happiness!
“I ordered 3, it's a 50/50 chance of a frizzle, but all 3 are regular EE's. Not the hatchery fault. ****update**** I actually recieved 4cand one is a frizzle!!! Woohoo!”
Yes, there is a 50% chance that any frizzle may not not inherit the hoped for gene. We are hopeful since your babies are about a week old, that you may begin to see some upturned feathers coming in. Usually it will be very apparent within 14 days so we have our fingers crossed for you!
“They’re very petite and adorable. I ordered two and I think I played the odds correctly because one appears to have the frizzle! Healthy little birds. Very happy.”
Your babies are surely adorable! Please let us know how the "frizzle" gene plays out with your girls! It can be a fun adventure to see if they will develop those little curly feathers! Please let My Pet Chicken know any time if you have any questions about your birds or perhaps products for your flock keeping needs. We are happy to help!
“We ordered four of these girls along with four other chicks, all arrived alive and seemed happy. Had a few struggling we pasty butt that we treated with ACV and Brewers Yeast, all but one recovered and they're all hitting their goofy teen phase, especially the Polish.
Of the Frizzle Eggers we had two that were slow to feather (the twins) and thought were going to frizzle because they looked so fluffy, and another that was a maybe, but it turns out luck, sadly, wasn't on our side as with their juvenile feathers you can plainly see none of the four inherited the gene. They're still very pretty and gentle birds though, with everyone getting their distinct Easter Egger feather colours, we can tell the twins apart now too.”
Thank you, Jennifer, for taking the time to let us know how your babies are doing! The frizzles have an element of fun as we just don't know until they mature and begin getting their feathers if they will grace us with the frizz or not! We are happy to hear they and their brooder mates are doing well and bringing you happiness. We were were saddened to hear that one of the little ones was lost though. We are so very sorry! Your little one was covered for 48 hours after she arrived under Live Arrival Guarantee. We will be in contact with you by separate communication as we want to make this right for you!
“I LOVE my frizzle chick. Her wings are just starting to come in and clearly frizzled. She loves to be cuddled and gives me snuggles. I know you're not supposed to pick favorites, but I want 10 more of her. She is the absolute sweetest chick of my brood right now.”
