Acana Large Breed Adult Dry Dog Food 17KG Reviews

4.8 Rating 77 Reviews
We changed our lab onto Acana, from science diet. His coat is so shiney, he has no skin allergies any more, and his muscles seem more defined. Eyes are bright. Ingredients are natural and it shows in my dogs health. More cost effective than science diet too, as the serving size is smaller.

Started with Nutrient Puppy -> Orijen Puppy -> Orijen Adult -> Acana Adult. We were looking to decrease crude protein intake from Orijen 38%. Acana contain 33%, which works well for our GR (1 1/2 at 34kg) who is still very active and will need it for muscle repair or renally excrete excess. The vitamin supplements have done wonders for his coat, which has become healthy and shiny; and most importantly no signs of hot spots so far (which the breed can be prone to and our GR suffer from). No diarrhoea from the direct change-over; well-formed stool and regular bowel movement. Great size kibbles and seems to be very tasty ('suitable for human consumption' as per advertised, it may well be - however, we are not keen to experiment).

I have recently changed from Nutro to Acana, I like to feed my boy's natural food. So far all is well and they really seem to enjoy it.

My GR dog loves this. I usually mix a bit of fresh meat with it but even on its own he wolf's it down. His coat and skin have improved too. While pricey it is not the most expensive, and buying the 18 kg bag on autoship makes it comparable to his previous dry food.
