She now enjoys a diet that also includes Royal Canin Renal wet dog food. Petstock get the products to us quickly ensuring our little girl is never without.”
“My wee Chihuahua has been diagnosed as being in Chronic Kidney Failure so has to have low protein diet .
I have to soak the biscuits as they make him cough as he doesn’t drink enough water.”
“First time user. Had want we wanted in stock. Cheaper than Vets including delivery. Turn around couple of days. Nothing to gripe about. Great service. Delivered to front door as requested. Will use again.”
“My almost 13yr old Border Collie bitch has been on this food for the successful recovery of severe acute renal failure and ongoing management of her CKD since January 2018.
Due to the long term nature (she was never supposed to survive this long) of her condition, the lack of fat and protein necessitated by CKD resulted in hypoglycemia that came equally close to ending her life.
This extremely delicate balance of nutritional requirements has been balanced (with oversight of my vet and regular blood testing of course) via development of a diet that includes 3 small meals per day and alternate days a very small meal based around fats and proteins where her kidney processing these nutrients are supported by a supplement (NutraCam). Also, due to the nature of the product, in the long term, the dogs skin and coat also suffers, for this I recommend the best quality flaxseed oil supplementation daily.
Short term (the first 18-24mths) she responded incredibly well to this diet food exclusively, but be aware that long term it does not provide adequate nutrition to sustain a dog on it's own.
If your dog develops Acute or Chronic Renal Failure I will recommend this product all day long - it saved my dog's life, so while it may be expensive when compared to normal dog food, I consider that to be extremely good value for money - you should only be feeding it in order to save your dog's life.”
